Mindfulness

2138886349Living with stress is no way to live.

Headache and tense neck and shoulders – are what you feel as stress settles into your body. Pure exhaustion sets in at the end of the day.

Your mind is racing. So many thoughts back-to-back-to-back keep your mind racing. Those thoughts fail to shut up, making sleep impossible.

There’s always something else to stress over, whether thinking about the past or worrying about the future.

Imagine spending a few minutes focusing on breathing slowly in and out and feeling your hands on the chair. This approach allows you to watch your thoughts from observation instead of in a panic and enables you to focus on the present moment.

At this moment, your heart rate slows, your thoughts stop racing, and you feel a sense of calm and inner peace. The tension and pain in your back recede.

These few minutes of mindfulness bring many benefits, including reduced stress, increased focus, and more awareness and regulation of your thoughts and feelings. While being mindful, you find you aren’t running on empty at the end of the day and start to feel true relief.

Practicing mindfulness, even in small doses, can significantly increase overall well-being. In my practice, I incorporate mindfulness in my sessions. Maybe, we will do a short exercise at the beginning of the session to help you be ready for processing, or perhaps we will do mindfulness at the end to help you get grounded before you head on your way.

You will learn new techniques to quiet your mind and find rest in the present moment. We will practice various forms of mindfulness together, and I will give you tools to practice mindfulness away from sessions if you find it helpful.

Mindfulness practice will allow you to be present, increasing joy in your family members and peace throughout your life.
